Always 2 thumbnails selected

I selected 2 thumbnails and added Headline and cleared color selection. I then clicked on one unselected thumbnail after those two but two thumbs were selected. True no matter where I clicked while browsing except when I clicked on a thumbnail that was before the two I worked on. In that case only one was selected. However whenever clicked on another thumbnail after the first two I worked on two thumbnails are always selected. Happens with both a mouse and trackpad

I wondered if there is a setting in 2024 but couldn't find anything. Any ideas why this weird activity?

PSu 2024.0.1.6225 on Macbook Pro 16 Intel Ventura.

Edit. May be "fixed". I changed the Zoom to 96 when previously it was set to 100 and now no more two at a time.

I am also experiencing this problem. I re-select the photo to stop it from happening. It always happens after I have moved files to a different folder.

I have seen the same (same version).
Seems to happen more when filters are set.
I restart the application to work around.

To make things worse I am finding two more problems
1/opening full screen from thumb doesn't always open the selected one
2/ moving images full screen often jumps random number of images.
This is making culling impossible in PL.
Changing folder, restarting even rebooting has made no diffrence

New one, selected number of thumbs and they rotated them selves. Had it do this before there are some big problems in this part of 2024.

The latest update has fixed the 2-thumbnails problem on my mac studio. The update has also eliminated an aggravating instability with scrolling. Scrolling is now very stable. I assume both problems may have been associated with Sonoma on the M2 chip.
