Build 5078 Crashes While Geotagging

Post by Link648099 »

I'm using Build 5078 on an Apple M1 Pro MacBook Pro with 32GB RAM running Sonoma 14.1.2. My catalog and all images are kept on a Samsung T7 2 TB SSD connected via USB-C.

What I'm experiencing:

1. Geotagging seems more sluggish than usual. Geotagging 87 jpgs (via the Favorites tab in the Geotag panel) took 2:08 minutes.
2. Photo Supreme has crashed several times now when attempting to geotag. It tends to happen when multiple images are selected, usually 20 or more. It doesn't always happen, but it happens frequently enough to make geotagging a painful process.

What I've done to trouble shoot:

1. Compact the catalog and thumbnails
2. Only have PS running
3. Restart the computer

I'll include the latest crash report generated by macOS as an attachment.

This is a user forum and users are not able to help with error logs. For support questions, please contact support (read my signature here or the forum rules).

Looking at the error log it looks like PSU is trying to raise a message, which crashed the application. A message being raised looks like an unexpected error occurred during a Google call.
PSU has no control over how Google API performs or how it responds.
Try after a restart of the computer.

If it persists then check in your Google API console if the payment method is still valid and that the API key restriction is still valid.
