Import selection of photos from apple photos library

Hi all - I went through a phase last year when for a couple of months I just used my iPhone for photos. The resulting photos were automatically synced via iCloud with my Macbook. Consequently I have a gap in my main PSu photo collection (which is sorted in date order by folders). Is it possible to import just the missing photos from the Apple Photos library (currently residing on my Mac) to PSu and if so, how do I do it? Thanks.

In the advanced import module (more settings...) there's an option to mark all images that are not in the Catalog yet. Maybe that is helpful?
