Importing Photos to Cataloge

I have used PSu and catalogued all the photos and videos in c:/pictures.

What is the difference between the importing using following procedures: where both point to the same c:/pictures folder?:
• Hamburger > Import to Catalogue
• Hamburger > Import Folder

Import to Catalog is typically used to copy/move and then import files using configurable settings.

Import Folder imports files as-is from the folder you select.

Also read the Cataloging manual by selecting it from the ? icon in the left sidebar
