Selecting more pictures pauses Details

Hi, I am experiencing a performance issue in PS 7 for Windows Single User, and I hope some of you can help me.

The problem appears - as far as I can see - only when using the Details panel. When I select two or more pictures the program pauses. Fx. if I right click on the selected pictures the menu only appears after a pause from 3 to 9 seconds. The same happens if I use a keyboard shortcut. And if I select one of the boxes in the panel - like Headline, Description etc. - I must wait some seconds before they become "live", and I can actually write anything in them.

Often the cursor changes to a blue circle when pausing.

The problem isn't new, but I have waited to post here until I had tried all solutions I could think of. There are no problems at all when selecting only one photo.

It may sound as a small issue, but when you are working yourself through thousands of pictures, it gets very annoying, and I get somewhat hesitant to use the program, which I have enjoyed for more than 10 years.

I use the latest upgrade of PS 7 for Windows Single User 64 bit. Catalog and thumbnail databases are compacted, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I use Windows 10 Home version 21H2 build 19044.1826 (latest) 64 bit. My pc has an i7-4770 CPU 3.40GHz and 16 GB RAM. The catalog and thumbnail databases are on a SSD disk (C:).

FWIW, I can duplicate the pause in PSU build 4432....

Details panel open... select one image... cntrl-click select second image... spinning blue icon appears... wait,,, application uses 12% of the processor for a while... could be 9 seconds.... maybe longer)

It may be new-ish, because I know I have used the details pane to change metadata on multiple files at the same time before.

UPDATE: I can also report issue fixed with build 4438

Yes I am suffering this as well on version 4428 the pause/busy went of for a long 10's of seconds! Just tried it and as above haven't used the details panel for a little while so not sure when its come in.
EDIT: Updated to 4432 and same behaviour, but in a couple of tests the program spent several minutes in "Not Responding" mode and had to kill the process in the end and re-start.

Seems to have been fixed in 4438 version for me!
