Exports assets in wrong format

Assets are .tiff
"Export" command converts them in jpg regardless of settings.

This happens on any windows of mac computer which doesn't hold the Postgres Database, let's call them client.
ONLY, when logged in PSU on THE computer on which THE Postgres database for PSU is installed, will it export assets, in their original format, in my case .tiff. This computer is running Windows 8.1 Enterprise.

I have ran the test over and over.
Behavior is constant.
I wish it were possible to export from any client.
Is it possible?

Is this setup intentional?
or am I missing a setting in preferences?

Has anyone experience same behavior?

If the client doesn’t have access to the original file then it can’t export the original file. The preview is the used, which will always be jpeg.
