Can’t update my email address for my forum account

Sorry to have to post this here; I tried to find a way to message Hert or an administrator from my control panel but I apparently don’t have permission.

On Sunday 7/14 I tried to log into the forum after a long time away. I did not readily recall my password so I tried the change it, but was told my username and email address weren’t in the system. So I tried to set up a new account with my email address, and all seemed to work fine except that I never received the confirmation email (after a full 24 hours and two requests that it be sent).

As I waited for my confirmation email on Sunday, I recalled my password and was able to get in under my old account. Today I went into my profile and discovered that the email address is very old and defunct. I tried to change it to my current email address but was told that my email address is already in use. I assume that is because I tried (unsuccessfully) to set up a new account yesterday.

Also, I’m wondering if my control panel account should be the same as my forum account. I have a control panel account that is set up under my correct email, and I am able to get into it.

Please advise.

When I wanted to change my email I had to contact Hert direct. You probably should contact Hert direct with your questions. I don't remember how I contacted him but I think it may have been via the Contact page on idimager.com.
