Photo Supreme and Serif Affinity

Post by Spitfirejd »

Does Photo Supreme (Mac) integrate with Serif Affinity editor? If so, what file format are RAW images passed to Affinity in (RAW, .tiff, or .jpg) and what format are they returned to Photo Supreme in? This is a big issue with other DAM software, including Apple Photos. TIA

PSu just sends a path of your image to any editor.
No file content is sent or received.

Can Photo Supreme read/view the Serif Affinity .afphoto files? I read somewhere that it couldn’t but it was an old post.

I use Affinity with Photo Supreme on PC. Supreme creates thumbnails for and indexes the Affinity files as you would expect. It opens the files directly in Affinity, which is perfect. If you browse the files in Supreme, Photo Supreme seems to use its stored thumbnail and not open the file directly to get a higher resolution image.

Basically, Supreme and Affinity integrate perfectly and work as I would expect. I have no issues using the two together.

I've added .afphoto and . afdesign to preferences and a double click will open either Affinity Photos and Design. This is different to double clicking normal images, as that opens the light table as expected. Also, the light table Zoom/View Image Best doesn't work. I've also added .txt for text files.
