Color management - strange inconsistency

Post by peter wijn »

Hi again...
(realy feeling like a big fool now)

Trying to compare rawconvertors I notice some strange differences.
I find that ID-imager shows the colors of jpegs different than the masterphotos look in Lightroom and CaptureOne Pro.
They look a bit washed, lighter and quite greenish.

Datacolor spider 3 light edition controls my monitor calibration.

Trying to compare results of different raw-convertors next to each other, I export jpegs with sRGB color-profile embedded (well, both LR and COP are set to save in sRGB).
PhotoSupreme is set to import to sRGB if no profile is found. (that should affect anything? I tried to change the setting, nothing changed)

(Datacolor affects the look of the desktop photo and windows photo viewer).
(I had windows photoviewer showing the same weird colors, but reloading the datacolor profile corrected that)

Hummm,

I should have chosen the datacolor 'spyder' profile as 'output profile' in IDI-PSU ...

trying randomly things I didn't think were logical at first, the solution came...
... I didn't think 'output' would mean monitor output, considering the monitor was controled by datacolor...

thanks
