Share database between Mac and Windows?

Is it possible to share the database between Mac and Windows by opening the database directly from a network share and storing and importing image files from a network share?

Wait, so does that mean you don't have to do anything to convert the database between Mac and Windows?

That's correct. The database is exchangeable between Mac and Windows.
