How do I import photos without adding metadata?

I've probably used a setting that made my files unreadable by my preferred raw-converter and also, to some extent, by CS5. As I do like the program I would like to see if the problem goes away if I import without adding metadata but I don't know what settings I should use or where I can find these settings.

I am also finding minor inconsistencies between Supreme and Lightroom 4....

In the import dialog, there is a small box at the bottom left of the screen....

'Select specific images...'

Click on it and untick 'Apply detail profile...' in the left panel. That should prevent any writing by Supreme I think...

In testing for compatibility between Supreme and Lightroom 4, I sometimes arrive at a point where LR4 refuses to write metadata to the image saying 'Incompatible format file...' so there is still some kinks... LR4 will read the image metadata, but will not write to it...

Dick, did you report this? Also, did you try this on vanilla images? Also, make sure you run the latest Supreme beta and test it with images that haven't been touched by earlier betas. I am very eager to hear interoperability issues between Supreme and LR
