Thanks for the implied compliment, but I am not smart enough to be able to do anything like that and also pleased to not have to work with a Windows registry, as I now use Mac.
This is what I did (under Mac) after getting help from support:
1. Close PSU
2. In Finder user Cmd-Shift+G and go to ~/library/IDimager Systems, Inc.
3. Rename the file registry.dat to registry.old
4. Start PSU
It worked for me.
Let's hope that the stability issue is top of the agenda for all platforms. I have since instigated nightly backups for:
All images (using a sync software, so that it's fast
For PSu (still via the PSu app until I find a way to automate it).

Never say never change, but using Mac since 2005. Photo Supreme 3.3.0.2605. I endorse the interoperability of files between applications and systems.
