Hello,
I am new with PSU and currently within the evaluation period.
I work on MacOS and therefore the related Mac versions of C1 and PSU.
How can I exchange the ratings and color labels between C1 and PSU? I rate an RAW file with five stars within C1 but it will not be synced by PSU. The same vis versa. Also when I explicit write the XMP file by C1 and reload them by PSU but also the opposite way.
Is there a solution how to manage this?

Hi Rene,
welcome to this forum.
I'm a bit confused, because I think ratings works now for you.
And one questions you have not answered me - are you using Catalog or session?
Cheers Robert

Re: CaptureOne and Ratings
I always import images using PSU.
Then in C1 Sessions, for my workflow, I sometimes do ratings in C1 (stars and color tags).
[I also tend to cull in C1.]
After I have done ratings and culling, in Capture One, I select the image (or images); Rt. Click; "Sync Meta Data"
Next, in PSU, I right click on the folder with the images, Right Click "Verify Folder > "Verify Folder Quick"
Everything is back in sync.
Note: Unfortunately, PSU only supports none, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple color tags (it does not support the orange color tag in C1)

This is because XMP standard means 5 colors and not 7 or moreapanella wrote: 24 Mar 25 22:23 Note: Unfortunately, PSU only supports none, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple color tags (it does not support the orange color tag in C1)

Re: CaptureOne and Ratings
The questioned is about Capture One, which includes Orange.
(FWIW, some other tools, including open source, support even more. One camera manufactures supplied tool supports 9)
Look at it this way....
For a Capture One user it may be interesting that Orange is not supported in PSU as they read about using the sync function in C1.
[PS: You can use Orange in C1, PSU just considers Orange as "no color". Works for me.]
Not sure the number of possible attributes in this part of the "standard" really matters.
Even if PSU supported 99 colors, it is a wise move for PSU to support Adobe's five state colors.
Hert decided to support 5-colors. I decided this is sufficient for me by continuing PSU $ support, and it works fine with C1.

Re: CaptureOne and Ratings
Look at different way

I'm very long time C1 user. First years with "Media Pro". I have been using PSU since 2014
I have also used other tools in the meantime. I also use other programs for image editing.
Standard defines here 5 Colors. With PSU you can give the colors your own names, because the standard says it is only a “string”. There are companies like Capture One that write the string in the UI language. Others like DxO only ever write it in English and also expect it to be in English.
This means that there is a standard that only small companies really adhere to, everyone else does what they think is right.
In PSU you can create dynamic collections and search for orange in metadata. It has worked wonderfully here for years.
