Over the years I have noticed that Photo Supreme is reported more than any other cause of my program crashes than any other program. I really do not understand why its so temperamental and this has been on a desk pc and 2 different laptops ( the new laptop has had a string of them!) running Windows. Yesterday it crashed twice both the same logs and usually Photo Supreme crash reporting doesn't come up at all. Out of the many times its recorded as crashing I think only 3 times that I recall has it sent crash reports off in many years.
Is this common or have I got 3 poor setup’s that I might be able to do something about?

Re: Photo Supreme crashes more than any other program?
Every crash is one too many and is something I deeply regret.
If you know how to reliably crash the software then please contact support. Also report to support if you tend to experience crashes in some specific feature, even if you cannot reproduce it. And if you get asked to send in an error report then it's always recommended to do so.
Speaking for myself (after all, this is a user-to-user forum, and I always try to wear a user hat when posting here) I run PSU every day for many hours and since the big v2024.1 maintenance release, it has been pretty solid.
I am running PSU on a 3 year old Intel i7 (10gen) machine with 32 GB internal memory, a 3500MB/s internal NVMe SSD drive, and always run the latest Windows 11 version and install every single Windows update.

Re: Photo Supreme crashes more than any other program?
I have a similar experience to John. I keep the software up to date and have had various hardware platforms over the years but experience "Not Responding" regularly. I can't usually reproduce the problem as whatever action I was doing works after terminating the PS task and restarting it. The only common thing is that it usually happens when I am performing an action that affects a large number of images. For example, editing a catalog label that is assigned to a large number of images. Despite this issue I find PS indispensable. I could not manage my photographs without it, nothing comes close to its functionality and ease of use.

Re: Photo Supreme crashes more than any other program?
The new version 2024 had initially disappointed me with quite a few crashes - after the stable 2023. The many updates of the 2024 are a bit annoying on the one hand, but the 2024 is now running stable for me.

On startup, PSU asks Windows what drives exist. What do the temporary shares X: and Y: to my large PC have to do with starting PSU?

Re: Photo Supreme crashes more than any other program?
I run Photo Supreme on a server (PostGreSQL) and I have seen certain operations crash, but not the actual app.
I also have seen "Not Responding" lockups that resolve after some time (seconds or minutes).
What I do know is that my server is woefully underpowered. I expect to have that handled by end of September.
I find 2024 more stable than 2023 in my client/server setup.
