After stopping any activities, I close PhotoSupreme
In task manager, the app disappears from the Apps list and now appears in the Background processes.
If I wasn't looking in task manager and shutdown Windows at this point, would the DB be harmed?
closed but not gone
Re: closed but not gone
Most time is this not a problem. But you should rather look at why the process is still active.vkfoto wrote: 03 Mar 24 14:33 If I wasn't looking in task manager and shutdown Windows at this point, would the DB be harmed?

Re: closed but not gone
Good point but how would I find that out? Once it is closed, I don't know what it's doing. Like when it becomes unresponsive, Task Manager shows both CPU and Memory values fluctuating but without any information as to what is happening.
Re: closed but not gone
How often does it happen? How big is your catalog? How soon after finishing do you check if the process is still running? It takes a while - sometimes around 30 seconds until everything that was still open is closed.

Yes happens for me its never caused a problem, even if you shut down Windows it will take several seconds closing all the other background jobs down before it forces a close.

I think you should ask Hert.
Does it also happen if you start PSU, do nothing and simply close it after 1-2 minutes?
