Issue with deleting ONE file from a version set

Post by Bobbert »

I have version sets where I want to delete one of the images form the disk and database without deleting the whole version set.

I select that image, hit "delete", and get the dialog "Which delete operation would you like to perform?"

I choose "Delete from disk and database" and make sure the option to apply to all images in the version set is UNchecked.

What happens? The whole version set disappears!! My Trash folder has the file I deleted, and I can restore the rest of the files in the version set by verifying the folder with the "binary" option.

But why? Why do I need the folder verificaion step? Is this a bug or is this expected behaviour I just need to live with. It IS annoying though..

Thanks

I noticed the same. Suppose it is a bug.

Same behaviour here.

And if I choose "Delete from disk and database" and the option to apply to all images in the version set is CHECKED, nothing changes in the viewer, the deleted picture is still displayed and when I click to see the next picture, it jumps to the one after.
Do you get the same thing ?

No, this function works correctly for me. The thumbnails disappeared, and the images in the version set appeared in the trash.

Yes to the original question, the chosen one is deleted but the remaining ones need to be recovered with a Verify action. Not the expected behaviour :-(

Thank you very much for looking at it for me, that's nice of you.

Can you please confirm if you did your test in thumbnail view
Thumbnails View.jpg
Thumbnails View.jpg (310.5 KiB) Viewed 17261 times
or in the image viewer? (or both?)
Viewer.jpg
Viewer.jpg (530.21 KiB) Viewed 17261 times
Because I have the same behaviour as you in thumbnail view but when I review pictures in the viewer and I delete one, the deleted picture is still displayed on screen (even if the images in the version set appeared in the trash) and when I click to see the next picture, it jumps to the one after.

Thanks a lot

Is there a way to submit this as a bug report?
