I'm hung right now performing a Verify Folders for New Files, importing 33 files with version 4936.

The tabs are functional again in 4936. Thanks for the quick fix !!!
I have so far not experienced any more crashes, but waited for the tab fix and thus did not actually try Verify much.
Fingers crossed it'll now work.

Please update to build 4940. It can be downloaded from the website or user Control Panel

I was holding off activity until this bug was resolved. As there hasn't been any further comments here since "4934 Fix for possible application stall during Verify Folder" 3 weeks ago, I'm guessing the bug was fixed. Thanks Hert.
