Hello,
I have all my photos (2To) on a HDD1 which is now full.
I have bought another HDD2 which has twice the storage space of the first one.
I have copied all the pictures from HDD1 to HDD2.
How to manage this change from a catalog point of view?
I would like to keep all my portofolios, folder classification, picture stars, labelling, etc.
How to proceed?
Feel free to give several options.
Thinking about it I see:
- either to move picture from HDD1 to HDD2 via PSU but given the number of files, I expect a freeze/bug to happen eventually.
- or to recreate a catalog for HDD2 but I'm almost sure portofolios and other things (not depending of metadata) will be lost such has folder colors.
Thanks for any answer.

Re: How to handle change of HDD from catalog perspecitve?
In Folders, right click on the root folder and select “Map to the correct physical folder”. Then point to the root of the new drive.

Deep diving more into the forum, I found the topic Drive letter changes. Hert recommends to Map the the top level node to the new drive/location.
It happens it also work for my case, everything has been kept (portofolios, folder color, etc.)
I will keep on monitoring everything works correctly in the coming days.
