Hiding Sidecar Files or Grouping Together

Does anyone know a way to hide sidecar files so they don't appear when looking through a folder? As in a system folder, not while browsing folders through Photo Supreme.

I'm on a Mac and haven't been able to find a way to do that, but curious if anyone else has.

Or, is there a way I can group all my sidecar files in a single folder so they're not included in the folders that hold my images?

I would imagine if you hide them in the Finder you are also making them invisible to any application that needs to access them. And you don't want that. And I'm not positive on this, but I believe the sidecar needs to be in the same folder with the images in order to be read with the image but not 100% on that.
What's your issue with having the sidecars in the folder with your images?
