Hi
Newbie question here again.
I was trying to sort images in a catalog this morning. I was in "ALL" View. I highlighted all of the images in a folder that applied- and tried to drag them to color "red". Only one had the red applied. The same thing with keywords/categories. I assume selecting all the images, and then trying to drag and drop them onto the metadata field I want applied in ALL view is probably not the right way to do this?
i also tried to select all, copy and paste into excel or textedit to get a list of filenames/metadata fields showing. I again only saw one file name get pasted in text edit- so I assume there is a better way to do this?
Background: I was trying to sort images in a large folder- I shot jpg only, and then raw plus jpgs, and want to color code the jpgs that were shot as only jpgs from those that were shot as raw plus jpg.
cheers- and sorry in advance for all the basic questions. These of course are too specific for the user manuals usually.

Drag and Drop multiple images? Color, category, file names?
Re: Drag and Drop multiple images? Color, category, file names?
That works, or should, it does for me!
Perhaps you clicked the one image and hence ended up only selecting 1 image which you then dropped on the Colour Red label ?
You can also do it the other way select all the images you want to label with something, and then drag and drop the label on anyone of the selected images, they will all the have that label attached.

Thanks Geoff- I'll try again in another catalog and see if the behavior changes.
