Hi
I can't seem to find the tiff compression metadata field. In Media pro, it is called "encoding" and let's you know whether the tiff was compressed as a LZW or what have you. Does this exist in Photo supreme? I looked under advanced- and compression only tells me the number- not the type.
Thanks
Christina
Where is the tiff compression/encoding metadata field?

I found that as well- but it does not inform on the encoding of the compression- just the number.... At least in my example.

Values and compression types references:
https://exiftool.org/TagNames/XMP.html#tiff
https://exiftool.org/TagNames/EXIF.html#Compression
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TIFF#TIFF_Compression_Tag
Deflate is ZIP.
I am still using Version 6 and this appears to work:
- On the Info panel you can create custom fields.
- Click on New Custom Field.
- Add Macro Field.
- Enter a name for the On-Screen Caption.
- Delete the %FileName entry.
- Click on the + button: Add Metadata Item - Exif (if available) - Exif Information - Compression.
This field displays the compression type. Based on my limited testing: For a "1", "Uncompressed", the field displays "TIFF".

Re: Where is the tiff compression/encoding metadata field?
You can add the compression tag as a custom thumb line, or add it as a "predefined" custom field in the Info Panel.
The custom thumb line is %xmp:tiff:Compression{encode=html}
You can of course also select the COmpression tag from the drop down:
Advanced -> XMP -> XMP Properties -> TIFF Properties -> Compression.

Re: Where is the tiff compression/encoding metadata field?
Am I being dense? I want it to say LZW for example....
Re: Where is the tiff compression/encoding metadata field?
Works here OK ? I saved a file with each of the compression methods and added the field to the bottom of the thumbnail description;
