Files/folders missing from folder view

Post by johnlill »

When I opened PSU today I noticed that all the folders on an external drive only show a small portion of the files in those folders. The files are physically there and they show in the timeline and all other views. I tried Verify Folder at the top level and it found many files but they still don't show up after I selected "add to catalog". As you can see on the attachment there are over 27,000 images in the catalog but less than 4500 show in the folder tree. Any ideas?

You probably have a custom root configured.

Right click on the top mode and select/unselect “Make this the root folder”

I checked and "make this the top-level folder" was already checked. Any other ideas?

I'm all set now. I unchecked "make this the top-level folder" and made the root of the drive the top level. Then 2 copies on the "Photos-D" folders showed up under the root, one with 1267 images and one with over 22,000. When I unchecked "make this top level" and then re-checked it at the root level, the 2 folders were merged into one and all images are now showing in the catalog tree.
