Error when photo on Google Maps

Post by Frits de Witte »

Hi Hert,

Groet,

Hi Frits,
This forum if for everyone to read and requires English as the language. Sorry for replying in English

The message you’re getting is related to a missing registry setting. This setting is set in the installation.

Try this;
1. Redownload the installation file
2. Right click on the installation file and select “Run as Administrator” (iets als “Als Administrator uitvoeren” in een Nederlandstalige Windows)
3. Install over your existing copy
4. Once installed, start PSU and try again

Does that help?
Thank you

Yes! It works. Thanks a lot.
Perhaps a good idea to tell this in the installation instructions.

Dear all
May be this helps to understand what could lead to the issue on a Windows system:
Imagine the following scenario:
Google Maps works with Installed version of PSU (in my case PSU 6)
Upgrading to version PSU 7, Google Maps worked with PSU 7
After removing PSU 6 from the system, Google Maps cheases to work in PSU 7 (deintallation removes the registry key)
As Hert stated, running the PSU 7 installation again solves the symptom
Another option would be to remove the previous version(s) of PSU prior to installing the new one
Cheers,
Seb

I updated to version 7 (after that I deleted version 6) and had the same problem: no google map in the geo panel. Reinstalling version 7 does work!
Thanks!
