Older builds of PSU V4

Post by oversampling »

It seems that my PSU DB backup can't be restored by the current build of PSU V4 (1490), as it was created by a previous V4 build (1573? 1566? I'm not sure about what point in time the DB format changed).
Does anybody know if/where it is possible to download a specific build of PSU V4? (it appears that in cp.idimager.com I can only download the latest build...)
As an alternative does anybody know if/how it is possible to "translate" the DB backup into a format that is usable by the latest build? (1490)
I am probably missing something here, because it seems odd that whenever the DB format is changed in the latest build , all the previous DB backups suddenly become unusable...
Thank you!

Is your question about the Single User, Server Postgres or Server SQLServer?

You can restore an old backup using the pgadmin tool.

1. First install the latest version and create a new database using the same name as before.
2. Start PSU.
3. Then use pgadmin (a tool that comes with PostgreSQL) to restore the database from the old backup file.
4. After the restore, start PSU and the database will be upgraded.

Though it may seem redundant, do not omit steps 1 and 2.
