Post by angelanthony »

im looking to find out how to create a video preview thumbnail in photo supreme . i work alot with video assets (over 3000 videos to be exact) and im staring at 50 video color bars in one folder. it would be nice to visually see what the content is at a quick glance. is there a way to do this ?

PSU shows thumbs for some video formats. Apparently your video format is nog among them. You can add a .THM sidecar file in the same folder where the video file is. This is a JPG renamed to THM

PSU shows thumbnails for some formats (there are so many video flavors and it's like the Wild West in video land).
If your videos don't show thumbnails then check if your OS can show thumbnails for these videos. Can it? If so then you can try adding your video file format extension as a non-image format to force PSU to use the OS thumbnail generator for it.

And of course there's also the option that you create a THM sidecar file to represent your video file. A THM file is a small JPG file, renamed to THM, for example a screen capture of the frame you'd like to represent the video.

This all hasn't changed in V4.
