When I click on the Filter Rectangle in the Browser window, the screen goes black. To get out of it, I have to click anywhere on the black screen. It then seems to have arbitrarily picked a catalog label to use as a filter. The only way to delete the filter is to open a new browser tab and delete the tab that has the filter.
This makes trying to filter images totally non-functional. I have no idea what causes it or how to prevent it. I am assigning catalog labels to a lot of images scattered in many folders so the filter function is really important to save time.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Filters - Black Screen
Hi Frith,
The reported behaviour is odd. Is it reproducible after a restart? Does is it apply to any collection? Do you have a lot of favorites and saved filters? Does the Label filter dropdown behave as expected?

Re: Filters - Black Screen
I deleted all the favorites and this seems to have fixed the problem. I had over 100 and maybe closer to 200. Not an issue to have to clean this up occasionally but to delete a favorite you have to do it one by one. There does not appear to be a way to "remove all favorites".

Hmm, that's a sizeable number, indeed. Wasn't it hard to spot the right favorite? (The favored favorite, we might call it...)frith wrote:I deleted all the favorites and this seems to have fixed the problem. I had over 100 and maybe closer to 200.
I agree that's a bit annoying. Feel free to vote for FR #2617, which would enable us to clear all favorites in one go.Not an issue to have to clean this up occasionally but to delete a favorite you have to do it one by one. There does not appear to be a way to "remove all favorites".
No worries - I'm glad you're back on track.Vlad - Appreciate the help.
Re: Filters - Black Screen
What I did was try to open the filter icon above the browser, where I would have then put in some text - not click on a favorite in the Favorites tab.
I had so many favorites because I have a lot of catalog labels and was clicking the gold star to keep track of which ones I had reviewed for erroneous label assignments. Over time the list became very large, but I did not see it because I was only clicking on the Filter icon, not going to the Favorites list. Once I clicked on that icon, the screen went black so I wasn't able to see anything. Must have to do with situations when you have more than x labels selected as favorites.
