RAW thumbnails not showing
RAW thumbnails not showing
Since I upgraded to Win-10 PSu is not displaying the matching RAW thumbnail for any images that I have converted to 16-bit TIF in Canon DPP, the TIF is showing. Build missing thumbnails finds nothing missing.
Thanks for any clues.

Have you tried to compact your databases?

No luck with compacting the database, but thanks for the suggestion.

Try verifying a folder containing the raw files not being displayed.
Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
Not sure I understand Mike. All of my images are in folders by daily date. For example folder 160120 has all images for 20 January 2016. If I right click a thumbnail and select Locate in Windows Explorer it brings up the relevant folder containing that and all other images from that day, including the RAW images not being displayed.

Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
It's possible that the reason Supreme isn't displaying the thumbnails of the raw files is because for whatever unknown reason they are no longer in your catalog. Try verifying a folder to re-import them into your catalog. It can't hurt to verify a folder, so there's no reason not to try it.

Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
Colin,
It just now occurred to me that you may not be aware of Supreme's "Verify" process. When I suggest verifying a folder that contains raw files not being displayed, I mean to right click that folder and select "Verify Folder." Doing so will report all physical image files stored in that folder and all of its subfolders that are not in your catalog. You will also be given the opportunity to import them into your catalog.

Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
You were right Mike but I did work it out and ran Verify. Thing is that in folder view all thumbnails are showing but in Catalog/By Date view many of the RAW ones are not showing.
Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
Hi Colin, try running Tools -> Build Missing Thumbnails and Previews. Any effect?
Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
No luck Vlad, doesn't find any missing.
Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
Colin, are you saying that some thumbnail correctly displayed in Folders view is missing in Catalog->By Date? That's odd.
Let's reduce the issue to just one missing thumbnail. What happens if you:
1) run verify on that particular image?
2) delete the image from the database, then run verify on the containing folder and re-import the image?

Yes vlad, correct. Option 2) restores the missing thumbnail. A big job to go through 10k images and find/delete the missing ones.

Re: RAW thumbnails not showing
Hmm, your report points to some bug or database corruption. (I can't see any valid reason why a thumbnail should appear only in some view(s), or why Build Missing Thumbnails shouldn't do its job.)
Would a better option be to simply start afresh, with a new catalog? (If you're going that route, first make sure that you don't have any out of sync images in the current catalog: Catalog -> By Catalog State -> Out of Sync. I would also advise you to ensure ICS writing is enabled in Preferences -> Synchronize -> Write settings.)
