PS not launching

Post by MB17 »

A weird thing: when logged in to my main Windows 8 account, it doesn't start at all. In other User Accounts, it works. Tried to uninstall and re-install. After I click to open it, idimager.exe appears on task Manager but soon disappears. Anyone has any idea what should I do?

Thanks.

Does it change anything if you launch PSU with the catalog specified on the command line (-d <catalog_path>)?

Sorry, can you be more specific... Meaning, I open CMD, then...

Thanks.

Something like this:

C:\Program Files\IDimager Products\Photo Supreme x64 (V3)\IDimagerSU.exe -D "%localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc\catalog\Idimager.cat.db"

I may be doing something wrong. Get the message "c:\Program" is not recognized as an internal or external comand etc.

Sorry, you need to embed the path inside quotation marks:

"C:\Program Files\IDimager Products\Photo Supreme x64 (V3)\IDimagerSU.exe" -D "%localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc\catalog\Idimager.cat.db"

Hi,thank you so much.

I managed on CMD getting into "Photo Supreme x64" folder (using CD command) and then using "IdimagerSU.exe".

It still did not work with my Catalogue. Thus, I copied the blank Catalog folder from my other User Account to "C" and launched it using your CMD line and "c:\Catalog\Idimager.cat.db" as catalog path. It worked. I then, inside Photo Supreme, redirected the Catalog to my complete Catalog and it worked. I the relaunched a few times t make sure.

Maybe, somehow, PS lost path of my Catalog? Well, weird issue, but thanks for directing my path to the solution!
