Change Catalog Storage Location?

Currently in the Mac OSX, the .cat.db and .thumbs.db catalog files are stored in

Username>Library>IDimager Systems, Inc.>Catalog

Can I move that Catalog folder to another location and make sure the program follows it there? The reason for wanting to do this is that my online cloud backup service cannot address that Library folder; items have to be in one of the regular data folders, such as Pictures or Documents.

AFAIK the method Hert describes in http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php ... 03#p109169 also works on the Mac (NB: it's the last post in that topic)
