Thank you all for your kind words. I'm not going into details about the features at this point.
Fair enough. I actually like some remaining elements of surprise - it builds the anticipation to the release. :D
The upgrade policy is outlined on the website and has been unchanged since the first PSU release; http://www.idimager.com/WP/?page_id=525
The "minimum 3 months" grace period will be stretched for this release.
Thanks, that's appreciated (although I'm still well within the 3-month grace period myself, at least for the next couple of weeks).

Looks really good. I'm particularly glad to see the improvements to support DxO Optics Pro and Capture One. Also welcome will be drag and drop additions.

Excited about the new features

Longtime but occasional user here. Have you read my mind? I just had a look at the new feature summary and they all look great.

Thank you. Hert.

"Multi Tab Browsing" is at the top of the listed new features. It is also the improvement that will make my life so very much easier. Further down I am very happy to see "red eye removal"

Thanks a lot Hert

Photo Supreme is the first DAM tool to offer this innovation. Once you're used to Multi Tab Browsing, you can't imagine ever doing without it.

I don't want to spoil the party, but I actually see "red eye reduction". (I know, there are companies out there who have no shame to say "removal" when they really mean "reduction", but I personally like it when someone tells it like it is. Nevertheless, we often read what we want or we're used to read - it happens to me as well.)

You know how I feel, now that you mention it? I feel like I'm trapped back in time, still using one of those antique Internet browsers without multi-tabs - and impatiently waiting for the multi-tab revolution to kick off. Frankly, I can't believe I had a web browsing life before multi-tabs (not to mention the days of Gopher or Mosaic) - it might turn out just the same for image browisng and cataloging :)

(Speaking of web browsers: not a big deal, but the IDImager pages, including the V3 page, are not displayed correctly on my Android phone. But they look very good on a tablet or laptop.)

How would you explain the difference between red-eye-removal and red-eye-reduction?

I was aware of that, and it also happened on my iPhone. In fact it's an issue in the Framework that I bought for the website content. They promised to fix it a long time ago, but I now poked into the framework scripts and fixed it myself (and now I've also got to remember to maintain it with every update ;))

I think you should include that information in your marketing material, including this particular piece. In your description of multi tab browsing, change "switch" to "switching" for correct grammar.

Mike, yep you're right about "switch" or "switching". It depends how the sentence is parsed. I read it with both sub-clauses as one, but if you put in commas to separate the second sub-clause, it becomes clear that "switching" is indeed correct... Sorry, Hert.

How is multi-tab browsing different from virtual collections in IDimager?

Virtual Collections in IDimager are (persistent or non persistent) containers. In PSU terms that would be multiple Image Baskets. Tabs are not Image Baskets. Look at the screenshot to get an idea of what it is.

Notice that the tab display includes the History arrows, Filter icon and Favorite icon. I infer that each tab will include those icons and each tab will maintain its own state of those icons. If I'm right about that, as an example, you could have three tabs established and each tab could be using a different filter. That's different from the Image Basket in IDimager or Supreme V2 and it's also different from Virtual Collections in IDimager. If I've got all of that correct, Hert is right that this capability is completely new.

I'm going to be very excited if the better DxO integration includes copying the star rating to the .dop file. I'm currently running a command-line Ruby script to do this.
