These new capabilities look great, Hert. Congratulations! I know I'll be glad to immediately make use of at least two of them.
Notice that a formatting issue is preventing display of some text on the right side. As an example, I'm interested in the explanation of the new capability pertaining to version sets but I don't understand it because all of the words aren't being displayed.

Re: Preannouncement: Photo Supreme V3
Perfect now!
Re: Preannouncement: Photo Supreme V3
Hert: congratulations to you & the team for the upcoming release!
I'm most excited by the following additions:
- multi-tab browsing: seems really, really useful. I have high expectations. (Just curious: will each tab have its own filter?)
- duplicate detection: seems very useful - and it would be amazing if it could detect "imperfect" duplicates (i.e., images with largely similar content). What are the options for a duplicate image set? Could the similar images be stacked? (I keep my fingers crossed that image stacking will make it in V3: that's the only feature I badly miss.)
- face detection: can it recognize the same face in multiple images?
- bulk catalog label editing: will be a big timesaver
- smart searching: really looking forward to trying this. I have high expectations.
- export to folder, enhanced drag-n-drop, slideshow control bar: I can see myself taking advantage of all these; perhaps of enhanced versioning too (not sure yet).
Keep up the good work!
Vlad
P.S. Does Photo Supreme have any motto or slogan? There's a software company (JetBrains) which creates amazing products for software development (IDE's and so on) and has the following motto: "develop with pleasure!" I think you could use: "Photo Supreme: catalog with pleasure!" (Or, I have another suggestion: "Photo Supreme: DAM made exciting"; ok, a final one: "Photo Supreme: DAMn good!" )

DAMing never felt better?
Re: Preannouncement: Photo Supreme V3
Looking very, very exciting
Very happy to see face detection coming to PSU. Also support for raw editor parameters sounds great - even if I'm a bit unsure of what it means exactly at present.

Looks great, Hert!
Just curious, but what will current license holders of V2 need to do to upgrade, and what will be the cost?
If it's too early to ask this question, I understand.
Thanks again for all your efforts!

Based on some careful reading of the newsletter, I'm crossing my thumbs in that respect, since I've only been a licence holder for a few monthsPreston B wrote:Just curious, but what will current license holders of V2 need to do to upgrade, and what will be the cost?

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm not going into details about the features at this point.Preston B wrote:Just curious, but what will current license holders of V2 need to do to upgrade, and what will be the cost?
The upgrade policy is outlined on the website and has been unchanged since the first PSU release; http://www.idimager.com/WP/?page_id=525
The "minimum 3 months" grace period will be stretched for this release.
