Strategy to index physical location of negatives?

Post by jimmcqueen »

I'm scanning and cataloging a decades-long collection of family photos. I'd like to index each scan back to the physical location of the original. For example: "Album 3, page 27" or "Tray 4, slot 122".

Is there a way to do this without making a new keyword for every individual slot, page, album, and tray?

You could create a custom field (or fields) for this. Use 'create custom fields' in the Info pane.
You could either use a single field or add a field for each of the variables.

Aha! That appears to be exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Thanks!
