I just converted to Photo Supreme V2 from IDImager (it went smoothly!). I have a large number of photo file folders and a large multiple level catalog hierarchy. After converting and getting the new catalog populated correctly, I made a number of changes to the catalog, moving many labels in the hierarchy and merging many labels. As a result my catalog labels are now out of sync with the metadata keywords in many of the image files. Is there an easy way to request a syncing for all the image files across the mutilple file folders? To go to each file folder or each catalog label and sync would take a very long time!
Thanks.

How to sync Metadata for all out-of-sync images?
Re: Metadata Syncing
Hi Jim,
Welcome in the club.
You can click CATALOG-By State
Then find the Out of sync state
Select all thumbs with Ctrl-A
Write changes with right click on a thumb->Metadata->Save metadata
Hope that helps

Re: Metadata Syncing
What if you have hundreds or thousands of images? Does this approach scale up as needed?IDimager wrote:Hi Jim,

As a very new PSU user still learning PSU, what I would like to know is if a parameter can be set to perform this operation "automagically?"

Re: How to sync Metadata for all out-of-sync images?
It would scale for hundred thousands, but I still don't recommend that approach as it simply would take too long. Do it in a controlled way; for example per year.
What I'd suggest:
1. Open FOLDERS
2. Find a folder that contains a "controllable" amount of images, for example a year folder
3. Click the Counter (what shows the image count for that folder). You'll now get all images from that year (recursive/flattened)
4. Select all thumbs (Ctrl+A)
5. Write changes with right click on a thumb->Metadata->Save metadata
Also, the option to auto-sync is ON by default. It's in Preferences->Synchronize Settings->Automatically write our Catalog changes to the image file
