Not much enthousiasm here...
Yesterday PS closed anytime I tried to backup.
Today when working on the catalog, strange reactions in PS. Hanging, not synchronising automatically.. when synchronising manually the program starts hanging again...Close down, starting again, I can work for a few minutes, then hanging again. Closing, starting..
Attaching keywords: starts hanging again. I closed the program and now can't acces it anymore.
'Stream read error: press OK to ignore and risk data corruption or press cancel to kill the program'
I am not a IT hero, but what's happening here has nothing to do with it.
How can I make the program 'working' again ?
And please make the program much more user friendly...there is some work to do !
Hanging, closing, shut downs and finally inaccesible

Try to close the application, then delete the files (but not the sub folders!!) in
"%localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc"
More user friendly?? I guess it can't be "friendly" for everyone.
Does that help?

'Not user friendly' is not correct. It is more intuitive than IdImager was, but the program is very slow and begins to hang whenever I try to do some work on multiple images( like keywording).

Vonske,
Do you use a converted database from V5?
I ask, because I have had several problems at first, because of image details in some catalog labels that where not fully compatible with PSU
Damn, it needed dozens of restarts and I had lots of sudden exits until I removed all the data that was not compatible!
But now I have a workable database!

Michael

Michaël,
"Damn, it needed dozens of restarts and I had lots of sudden exits until I removed all the data that was not compatible!"
Yes, I use a converted IdIproV database.
Which data are to be removed ? Can you have a look at my addition ?
Grtz, vonkske

I have had V5 do the reverse lookup and added metadata to the image content via catalog labels (City, State, Country code, etc.)
What I needed to do, was to go through all my catalog labels to remove those image details.
Now I did the reverse loockup again within PSU and applied the image detail again...

Re: Hanging, closing, shut downs and finally inaccesible
That's also what I was doing. To not loosing my work I was trying to make a backup and by trying to do so, the program closed.
And it can't be restarted again.
Message I get: 'stream read error - press OK to ignore and risk data corruption or press cancel to kill the program'
Hert posted to delete the files in "%localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc", but I don't know which ones..look at my addition.

I think Hert meant "all" files but not the folders that are contained in the folder IDimager Systems, Inc
