Glad this thread got a new response...

I am trying to establish a workflow C1 PSU workflow for a couple of years now but never found something I liked at least a little and
always gave up.
Now I started to re-read the whole thing and somehow I must have missed one point when I read this thread before. Now I am thinking I found a "for me working" workflow!

I still have to do more testing, though

Cheers,
Michael

I work more or less as Peter described.
Very happy with PSu and CO11, with the occasional moments of frustration with both :)

I just bought the CO upgrade from version 9 to 11 without testing it first. Version 9 had solved the problem of eating all the camera meta data and so for me was much better than previous versions, However, I now discover that version 11 is doing it too.

Simato73, do you have this problem?
Never say never change, but using Mac since 2005. Photo Supreme 3.3.0.2605. I endorse the interoperability of files between applications and systems.

I'm not sure what you mean by eating all the camera meta data but I do know that C1 v11 (and 10 before that) requires Convert Metadata to XMP in Photo Supreme for it to display some key metadata in the Info pane for converted jpgs. (As an aside, converting to xmp is also required for On1 jpgs).

I don't let CO11 touch it; I use it only for image editing.
Work on the RAW files, use a recipe to export 16bit TIF files for the ones I like better (knowing that my edits remain available for all RAW files loaded if I want to go back to them at a later date), then verify folder to import the newly generated TIF files, cascade rating, keywords, etc within PSu.

The only thing missing for me is that PSu does not show the edits on my RAW files - but I am not sure whether this is due to the fact that I am using Fuji files, which seem to be not supported by the DCRaw version used in PSu. Generally speaking I have not sorted viewing properly images through PSu, color management in PSu is another thing that I cannot understand.

As you are cascading, PSu possibly solves my problem for you automatically.

I has since found out that by right clicking and converting the metadata to XMP, that the camera meta data can be recovered (thanks Hert of the tip) :D
