quicker way to add to dynamic search?

Hi,
does dynamic search only work with "drag & drop"?
I ask, because my keyword hierarchy is quite large and nested. Also, with 103.855 images in the catalog the folder hierarchy is pretty large. Dragging a keyword or a folder from somewhere down in the tree into the dynamic search area is a bit of a challenge and prone to accidents. The labels/folders keep moving about and worse, if I accidentally drop them somewhere else.
As a workaround I now first add things to favorites, then drag them into the dynamic search. Is there perhaps a short cut to do this more quickly?

Just found that hitting the spacebar does the job. Neat!

And Alt+Spacebar adds an item in Exclude-mode (NOT), which is also handy.
