Re: setting up internal http server?

Monica, I cannot find an explanation of the internal http server in ID Imager Help (perhaps i missed it). However, if this server is like other internal servers, it cannot be accessed by others on a different machine in order to display web pages or images located on your computer. This a is a good ...

For info: I did a backup to a network drive a couple of days ago. The IDImager.reg file is there. 28KB

Re: Burner Ended with Error: -214747851

Hi Hert, Thanks for your prompt reply. I read the KB article and will try the hotfix later today. It appears that may be the issue because I have Version 1 of the Windows Burner Engine installed, rather than IMAPIv2.0. I will post back with the results. Just a quick note: I was able to backup my dat...

Burner Ended with Error: -214747851

I attempted to create a backup of my ID Imager database onto a CD. After clicking 'Burn' I received the following message: "Burner Ended with Error: -214747851". I tried another blank disc with the same result. To test my CD/DVD drive, I created a data disc using Nero, and successfully burned a fold...

What is the File Monitor?

I am new to ID Imager and am wondering what the File Monitor is, and what is its purpose?

I am really enjoying leaning about and using IDI!

Re: Just Installed Pro - Very High CPU & Slow

"Your response implies I shouldn't be seeing this kind of slow import. This thread possibly implies otherwise."

Hmmm? I didn't imply that at all. I was simply throwing some things out there that might have been slowing things down.

Re: Just Installed Pro - Very High CPU & Slow

Does your antivirus/spyware app scan files when they accessed? Some antivirus software has pretty high cpu overhead, so if each file is being scanned during import, this might really slow things down. If your antivirus will allow you to skip scanning some file types, doing so may help. Also, how man...

Re: Poll: How many images do you have in your catalog?

I have 648 images. I shoot 4x5 primarily, so my number of images is quite small, comparatively. I make up for fewer images by having big files that IDI needs to crunch. Many of the files are 500MB, up to just over 1GB in a couple of cases. I have a few thumbs showing 'out-of-memory' errors. I am loo...

By the way, thanks also for teaching me about PMFJI
Now, educate me, please. What does "PMFJI" stand for? I've seen lots of acronyms, but I don't know this one.

Re: iView/ExpressionMedia to IDimager promo

Hert, I took advantage of the promotion and am currently happily working with IDImager Pro Desktop. 99% percent of my nearly 800 images are layered PSD and TIF files from scanned 4x5 film. I am very happy with IDI. :D Thank you for producing a great product. I will be recommending it, for sure! --Pr...

Re: File Monitor Questions

Dirk, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, your instrcutions don't work for me. I am using a Wacom Intuos4 tablet. When Windows is in the shutdown process the cursor locks up. I don't know if this is a Windows or Wacom driver issue. So, I had to turn off the Image Monitor in order to have a clean s...

Re: File Monitor Questions

There may be a bug in the ID Imager Monitor? I had to restart my computer after successfully installing WinZip 14. All appeared to be well, but then the restart process simply stopped. I waited three minutes to see if the process would continue. It did not, so I had to push the power button. After p...
