Re: to DxO and back

I haven't used it, but I noticed that in the File menu there is an option to Import Single Files. (Also, you can verify just one folder by right-clicking on the folder and choosing the option from the context menu.)

Import very slow

I'm currently importing a folder containing 14,000 photos, which should take the total in PS from 28,000 to 42,000. The import seems set to take between 4 and 5 hours (1 hour until thumbnail import was finished then another 3 or 4 hours to complete synchronization). Is it normal to take this long? M...

Re: How can I cycle between a selection of photos in full screen mode?

Thanks for all the comments. I hadn't noticed the Basket icon lurking at the bottom left of the screen! I've found that using the basket for my purpose is slightly less cumbersome than I thought because, although when I click Empty then Back I'm taken to the top of the thumbnail selection, the progr...

Re: How can I cycle between a selection of photos in full screen mode?

Hert, the Light Table is useful to compare the photos side by side but if I open one full screen then use the arrow keys I see the adjacent photos in the thumbnail set (not the photos that I have selected for comparison). Jim, thanks. I hadn't met the Basket. It seems to do the job well, but it does...

Re: How to move photos to a folder outside PS3

Is there a keyboard shortcut for Share>Copy to folder? (The shortcuts Help file only mentions Ctrl-E which is not quite so convenient.)

Re: Using keyboard to adjust thumbnail selection

OK. I'll report on Mantis if I ever get registered. As I've mentioned on another thread I've had no response to an email I've tried to send to support.

Re: Migrating from WLPG (Windows Essentials Photo Gallery)

I too have had no response to an email sent to support. The address I used was support@idimager.com. Is that wrong?

How can I cycle between a selection of photos in full screen mode?

If my thumbnails include several similar photos how can I cycle between them in full screen or larger preview mode? If I select the photos I want to compare then shift-enter I get a full-screen view of one of the photos, but if I then press an arrow key hoping to see the next in the selection the di...

How to move photos to a folder outside PS3

After selecting photos that I want to cull, how can I move them to a folder outside PS3? Cut and paste to Windows Explorer does nothing. Dragging to Windows Explorer does nothing. Alt-dragging creates shortcuts in Windows Explorer. Ctrl-E allows copying to an external folder (provided I make sure th...

Using keyboard to adjust thumbnail selection

When I use Shift + arrow keys to expand a thumbnail selection the selection grows in the same way as in Windows Explorer and other programs. However, if I expand too far and try to contract the selection by moving in the opposite direction the selected thumbnails remain selected. I have tried Ctrl+S...

Re: Larger "larger preview"

Thanks, everyone, for all the tips. Very useful. How does one find out about all these features? I knew about the preview popped up by the spacebar because it was mentioned by Hert in the sticky thread "Tips for working with Photo Supreme". I've read through the Help documents but I suspect that the...
