Re: Compact Database message
Not sure oif this has anything to do with this issue however when I try to compact my thumbs database I get the message "your available diiskspace is insufficient...". In the messgae the sizes are shown however as the thumbnail database size is mentioned the available diskspace (150.1GB in my case ...

Re: Compact Database message
That's great. If you get this again, then please let me know.
This problem has returned.
I have imported a lot of new photos after which I received the message that I should compact which I accepted. The compact took some time but not hours so presumably only the main database and not thumbs ...

GPX track start and end date/time both the same
When I select a GPX track to tag my photos the start and end date shown are both the same. It shows the end date.
As a test I have opened previous tracks which have displayed correctly and they also show the same date/time twice, showing that this isn't a problem with the track itself.

Re: Compact Database message
That's great. If you get this again, then please let me know.
I have just imported 20,000 photos, got the message to compact which I cancelled followed by a manual compact of the core database only (not thumbs), exited Photo Supreme and get the prompt to compact again.
I'll wait a little while ...

Re: Compact Database message
I don't intentionally have any third party tools running - or knowingly installed.
Maybe some other process, residual from a previous Photo Supreme that Windows didn't close properly is maybe the most likely, but not a problem as a reboot cleared it.

Not the same error but possible the same/similar cause.
I've just had an error reported by Photo Supreme that the database is locked when attempting a manual compact. I haven't received a prompt to compact the database but have ...

Re: Compact Database message
I generally don't mind the message now that it is usage based rather than every 14 days. There is a script in the repository to do a batch type compact, which I haven't used so don't know how good/useful it is.
My current problem is that I can't get rid of the prompt, whatever I do (I can cancel it ...

Re: Compact Database message
I was hoping that the latest version, just installed, would fix this but unfortunately it hasn't. The change list doesn't mention this sort of problem but I'm an optimist.
It is admittedly just an irritant to be told every time that I go into Photo Supreme that the catalogue needs compacting but ...

Re: Integrate online repository
Excellent, I'll set that.
I had mistakenly assumed that it is Google related given its position in the preferences

Integrate online repository
In preferences next to the Google API key there is a setting to Integrate online repository which is highly recommended. What does it do?

Re: Reverse Goeocoing lookup retuning nothing
That one doesn't return a administrative_area_level_3 type either when I tested it but I do take the principle of your point. Both of them return administrative_area_level_2
However, I'm happy for a reverse lookup to update with the best it can do as that tells me that I have done a reverse look up ...

Reverse Goeocoing lookup retuning nothing
For the majority of photos taken on a recent trip to Mexico, reverse geocoding is returning nothing.
Example coordinates 16.694023,-96.319885 entered on https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/overview?hl=en_GB correctly return a location description in Oaxaca. Photo Supreme ...
