I am trying to add headlines, descriptions, and sometimes other IPTC information, using the Image Details editor, but having problems getting it to work. My sequence is:


select an image
open the Image Details editor
amend the relevant Image Details field in the panel in the editor (eg add a ...

I have now found the solution to the problem. When I entered the detail profile editor, I was choosing a profile from the list at the top of the editor, rather than the one immediately offered in the editor. Editing direct works correctly.

Yes it does. Also, where appropriate, red indicators set to clear fields and yellowish to not make changes. I dont use the append to content setting anywhere.

When importing images the Apply import detail profile option does not appear to work.

I have a problem with the folder mask for import. It is not behaving the way I expect, and does not operate in the same way that the filename mask does.

I set up a custom defined filename (%yyyy-%mm-%dd %hh-%nn-%ss %FileName.%FileExtension)

I was not aware that migration might be as simple as opening an IdImager database in Photo Supreme. I was anticipating having to write a complex query to convert an IdI database in SQL Server 2005 to a PSu database in SQLite. I did not know how close the database schemas for IdI and PSu were.

a. In IDimager, enable ICS writing (if not active yet)
b. Write metadata to your images if they don't have ICS in them
c. Install PSU SIngle User edition
d. In Preferences, enable the Synchronize-Read-ICS setting
