Glad it worked for you!
BTW, I like your picture of the wolf!
The animal seems a bit stressed though.
Just wondering if it was in the wild or in a zoo / park environment?

Re: Problem: Color display of images in the catalog (PSU 2025)
Either that, or close PSU, delete the thumbnail database (or just give it another name) and start PSU again. That should force PSU to create a new thumbnail database and build new thumbs.

I see exactly the same issue here.
FWIW:
macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 on an Apple Silicon M1 machine
PSU 2025.0.3.7427

Re: Show number of megapixels in image
Ah, OK, I see.
I just assumed the tag would be in the file and thus would be available PSU.
Anyway, the script you so kindly provided fills the gap.
Thank you for your support!

Re: Show number of megapixels in image
Thank you Hert, that works like a charm!
I guess scripting this means the composite tag is not available in PSU then?

Show number of megapixels in image
I would like to show the number of megapixels an image has, either show it in a custom thumbnail or as a custom field in the Info panel.
From the Exiftool website I understand there is a composite tag called Megapixels which seems to contain what I would like to use:

Re: File permissions question
Yes, I have seen that script, but that is all I could find related to Read / Write status.
If there was a way to return the status in a variable I could use that in a user defined thumbnail, or perhaps even in a filter….

File permissions question
I wonder if it is possible to tell if a file is Read Only or Read & Write enabled.
On a Mac this is a Permissions setting, when I recall correctly it is just called Lock on Windows systems.
I have been searching the documentation, settings, macros, advanced metadata stuff as well as scripts in the ...

How do you deal with thumbless files?
This topic relates to the rendering of certain file types on macOS.
Currently I use macOS Sonoma 14.4 on an Apple Silicon M1 machine where I see the issue described below.
I have a number of files with a .THM extension as well as some .WAV files.
