Re: The PSU search doesn't find any hyphenated words >> "Spinnen-Ragwurz"
Thanks Robert, but I don't understand what's wrong with my search.
How do you search for a hyphenated word in English in PSU? Your suggestion leads to a wrong search in German PSU.

[resolved] The PSU search doesn't find any hyphenated words >> "Spinnen-Ragwurz"
I went out to photograph wild orchids yesterday. One species is called Große Spinnen-Ragwurz (Ophrys sphegodes) . The images have the corresponding catalog labels:

Why doesn't the PSU search for "spider orchid" find anything? This confuses me...

@Geoff
Thank you for your idea. I'm not the only one who is extremely bothered by the new behavior.
I found and installed a previous version, 2025.1.2.7566, and now everything looks the same as before.

Re: PSU Update 2025.1.3.7602 > Catalog label window much too small
One request: If anyone doesn't do a web update anyway and still has the latest Windows version (a not-too-old one before the one mentioned above) as their setup, it would be great if you could provide it to me as a download. My last backup was from March 6, 2025, which is too old; PSU apparently ...

It looks completely different for me, Geoff – where, for example, do you have the "blue-marked" labels, i.e., the labels per image?

But not in the “Folders” tab - that’s the point, Geoff.G8DHE wrote: 18 Apr 25 8:37 I'm confused I'm on 7602 and the Label Pane can be expanded as normal by dragging the boundary as normal ?

Hello sufferers, luckily I'm not the only one with this problem.
I'm using Windows 11 Pro, and I've decided NEVER to use automatic updates again. I'm really extremely annoyed.
Happy Easter to you all.

Re: PSU Update 2025.1.3.7602 > Catalog label window much too small
Changes like the one I just mentioned really annoy me; they completely impair my work with labels.
So, one more question: Is there a way to download the previous version? It's much more useful to me than the current one. (The PSU update didn't make any changes to the database.)

Looking for a tip: Found an image via search > what's the most reliable way to get to the image folder?
I thought you could get to the image folder using SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+F. It sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't....

.. BTW, I like your picture of the wolf!
The animal seems a bit stressed though.
Just wondering if it was in the wild or in a zoo / park environment?
We were in a large forest area in Lower Saxony (Germany). If you know someone who knows someone where and how to photograph wolves, it can work ...

Re: Problem: Color display of images in the catalog (PSU 2025)
Either that, or close PSU, delete the thumbnail database (or just give it another name) and start PSU again. That should force PSU to create a new thumbnail database and build new thumbs.
This tip was really good (one hour for almost 45.000 images) - thanks again! And the thumbnail database is ...

I am on a Mac and there you would 1. select a thumbnail 2. use command and A to select all other thumbnails and then right-click and select Rebuild Thumbnails. I do not have a windows machine but I am sure google can help

Thanks, Sigi, I thought the same thing, but where can I find this option (Rebuild thumbnails)?Sigi wrote: 03 Apr 25 11:00 Jens, just select ALL thumbnails and click on Rebuild thumbnails. That should do the trick.
If I right-click on a folder, I can't find it.
