Wow - how does that magic work?
But if one thumb AI description includes "boulder", then another "rock" and another "stone", will a search for "boulder" now find all three thumbs? PS. I could test this myself - being lazy.

Re: :-) Interesting AI hallucination ;-)
I'm happy for that "future" to come ASAP. In the meantime I made a copy of a "test" JPG (thumb attached), deleted the labels & description, and did an "Analyse with AI". The AI description then was

Re: :-) Interesting AI hallucination ;-)
I mainly upgraded to 2025 because of the chance/ hope/ interest that AI may reduce my labelling & speed up searching, especially older thumbs that aren't well cataloged, or not at all, but I'm going to give it a miss now. When I get separate (Open)AI results, for example, Boulder, Rocks & Stones ...

Re: :-) Interesting AI hallucination ;-)
Often the AI labels are very minor variations, just synonyms, of each other. Is there a fast way to ctrl+click any number of labels & mark as synonyms? The current method (context menu > Details > Synonyms > manually enter details) is far too tedious for large #s of AI labels.

Thanks. I keep previous versions & could go back, if compatible database. But not really a useful strategy for me.manusz wrote: 18 Apr 25 5:58 When you are on a Mac you can use Time Machine to restore a previous version of PSU.

Re: PSU Update 2025.1.3.7602 > Catalog label window much too small
ha ha - I just emailed Hert directly, before reading this post. Am in total agreement. To summarize... with release #7602 that the LAP is now a "static" size. It's now also half the size (or less) of the previous version so I can't see most of the assigned labels - only 8 are visible at one time ...

Re: OpenAI update GPT-4.1 family
Thanks Geoff. Mine is set (by default) to GPT 4.1 Nano. I also note with #7602 that the LAP is now a "static" size. Its now also half the size of the previous version so I can't see most of the assigned labels - only 8 are visible at one time, and I can't find any splitter control to resize the ...

OpenAI update GPT-4.1 family
Anyone using OpenAI has probably just received an email "Our most powerful reasoning models, GPT-4.1, Codex CLI, and new audio models". Does this improve our current "AI" experience that is being discussed in other topics? Does the OpenAI API key setting need changing?

Re: :-) Interesting AI hallucination ;-)
none are wrong but why they variations there seems to be some non-deterministic behaviour involved ..... ?
It potentially makes it much more difficult/ unreliable to find anything as there may be multiple labels all describing the same "feature". And if the AI labels are left in a "flat ...

I have also found if you Analyse the *same* thumb multiple times, it will return different sets of labels.

Re: something broke
There are certainly (frustrating) times with the user interface can become unresponsive, and appears to freeze (from a WIndows operating system point of view). Even doing a compact has similar results. If you task swap to another (WIndows) process then back to PSU the whole screen may not be ...

Re: Can AI Analyze a batch of photos but not auto create Category Labels in my Personal Categories?
https://www.idimager.com/what-s-new-in-photo-supreme-2025 contains a worthwhile gem you may have missed, like me: #7538; "Added a bulk AI handling for Catalog Labels to only create them in the AI Labels category" - this means all OpenAI labels are now created under the top level AILabels category ...

Maybe this topic helps: Triangle in catalog label corner? [solved] ?
Thanks Mke. I haven't intentionally set custom catalog colors, and now that I check them, none have the "Use custom colors" box checked. So still a mystery.
I did try using Qllama as the processing is local (I'm not going to ...

Re: OpenAI examples
There was no reply to my post @ https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?p=138663#p138663, so I'll try here - I've now spent a few hours with OpenAI with somewhat frustrating results (so far) - new labels are assigned under Events, Objects, Miscellaneous rather than under a top level "AI Labels ...

Google Vision vs. OpenAI
From reading the Artificial Intelligence manual it's difficult to determine the difference, pros & cons, between Google Vision and OpenAI. They both appear to be doing the same thing. I've added $credit & installed & done just a few tests with OpenAI. When new labels are suggested it seems to need a ...
