Re: Image orientation - WORST UPDATE EVER
I'm in strong agreement with RobiWan, there are more effective ways of dealing with frustration than berating someone in public.

Re: GEO Tags
I second fbungarz' defense of Photo Supreme. It is one of the two most used and essential programs I have.

Re: Open all photos in Affinity Photo
Thanks, Hert. I know I would have bumped into this change soon, so it's nice to get it resolved before I have a future panic situation.

preferred strategy for upgrading from Photo Supreme V3 to V4
Should I uninstall Photo Supreme V3 before installing Photo Supreme V4?
My concerns:
I do have the catalog data backed up.
- David P
My concerns:
- corrupting the catalog by accidently updating from two coexisting versions
- damaging the V4 program by uninstalling V3 at a later time
I do have the catalog data backed up.

Re: how to dynamically build or alter a search argument
I appreciate your response, Hert.
My little specific need is probably not worth the effort required by the Photo Supreme developers, but maybe in the grand scheme of things having macro parsing in the quick search bar could provide some potential universal benefit.

Re: how to dynamically build or alter a search argument
Thanks, sanphotgn. That is a clever approach that had not occurred to me.
In hindsight I probably should not have selected 40,000 images before trying your suggestion. Photo Supreme was working really hard for several minutes trying to comply with the filtering command, then it finished with no ...

how to dynamically build or alter a search argument
I recently began using Amazon Drive as an additional backup for my image files. There is a little feature Amazon Drive provides that I would like to emulate in Photo Supreme. Simplifying it somewhat, each day Amazon Drive sends me a link to a web site that shows all my images that have photo dates ...

Re: Flickr, concerning person in image tag - shows only one name out of many
Vlad, your suggestion would likely work, but in general I try to limit my use of people's names as keywords for a couple of reasons:
1. Years ago my daughter noticed that on Google/Bing searches, her name would occasionally show up linked to online photographs of her. The connection seemed to trace ...

Re: Flickr, concerning person in image tag - shows only one name out of many
Thank you for the suggestion, Hert. I did try it, but unfortunately it did not resolve the problem.
It would certainly be helpful if the other developers followed standards as rigorously as you do.

Flickr, concerning person in image tag - shows only one name out of many
I think this is a Flickr issue, not PSU, but perhaps someone here will have a suggestion.
Within PSU I have created a Flickr portfolio. Within that portfolio I have created a collection of a couple hundred family history photos. These photos often contain groups of people whose names have been ...

Re: 2 In Last Import in favorites
Thanks, Larry. I do in fact see two "In Last Import"s in the filter dropdown, so that agrees with your experience.
Unfortunately, I do not know how to delete items from the filter dropdown list.
A little more help, please...

Re: 2 In Last Import in favorites
I managed to put three "In Last Import" items in the Favorites list.
Clicking the star next to "In Last Import" in the "By Catalog State" menu list removed one of the "In Last Import" items from the Favorites list (bringing the count down to two), but I have found no way to remove either of the two ...

Re: Error on Compact
When my database was having problems, Hert suggested the following:
--------------------------
And what if you run this query on your database?
delete from idImageData where DataName = 'LASTACTIVETABS'
--------------------------
Running the query did, in fact, fix my problem.
