Hert,
I have a Synology NAS with 32 GIG of ram 5 gig ethernet.
Are there any instructions to put the server edition in the NAS?
Any advice you can provide, pros cons?
Juan

Re: anyone else having V5 downloader problems too?
Frank,
I am actually no longer using the DNG converter as part of the downloader.
What exactly is your workflow to convert to DNG if you are not using the Converter script?

Simply because my workflow involves using both PSU and LR, and now I can use the automatic face recognition of LR6 to help automate tagging people, and know that the metadata will be understandable, and usable within PSU...

Mirroring to a mapped drive
Setting up a downloader profile I am unable to Mirror to a network mapped drive. I try to browse for folder and it never opens the Network to see the mapped drives. Is it by design or is a bug? If is a bug I will open a ticket.

File Management
First, I know this topic has been previously discussed. The purpose of my post is not to debate whether file management is part of cataloging or not, or capabilities of PSU vs V5.
PSU currently has the following capabilities in file management: allows on physical folders: copy/paste of folders ...

Re: Compacting DB
Only old IDI users "intuitively" expect it in the Tools menu, because in IDimager that is where it is. I think Lightroom users will expect it in the "Catalog Settings"...and that is also where it is in PSU. So users that are already familiar with Lightroom will expect it exactly where it is now ...

Re: Compacting DB
Like Ian, Intuitively looked in the Tools directory for compacting the DB and Thumbs. The help file was no help.WIanB wrote:Probably a very silly question but how do I Compact the DB? I can find no option to do so, or does "Tools>Cleanup unused thumbs and previews" compact as well?

I assume you have a backup copy of your V5 database that was made prior to when you had the failed compact. Try using that to migrate to Supreme.
I get the same results.
