Re: How often does Photo Supreme crash for you?
Compacting [and backup] regularly freezes PSu, that is no different from IDI. On can check what is going on in Windows Explorer: a temporary db-journal file is being built during compact. I agree some feedback or progress bar would be a nice feature, but that never worked in IDI either.
In the 7 ...

Re: How often does Photo Supreme crash for you?
Every day one to several times: every time when I edit a collection name or when I use the sort options in portfolios (Move Up or Down a collection).
This is a known issue that is being worked on and I hope this will be resolved in a new build soon.

Well, everything is relative. Three hairs on your head is a little, three hairs in your soup is a lot.

Re: Renaming/sorting of portfolios/collections - PSU still hangs
I have run the script as you advised.
After over 16 hours, the program is still 'not responding', so I killed it and restarted.
Phrans, did you edit the script to remove the following line (near the end of file), as advised by Hert?
Catalog.BuildSearchData;

Re: Renaming/sorting of portfolios/collections - PSU still hangs
Hert,
Thanks & I certainly won't hold it against you. In fact I think it's great that the developer of the program brings in his knowledge when users among each other are simply not able to solve certain issues, so I hope you will keep on doing so. I cannot imagine any user having problems with ...

Re: QUESTION: what is your nr1 reason to use Photo Supreme
I used IDimager Pro for almost 7 years and I was very satisfied with the product. In fact, I was so satisfied with it, that I waited to jump to the PSU-boat for quite some years. I've tested the first versions (1 and 2) of PSU, but I was not satisfied with it. In 2015, IDimager Pro was getting ...

The portfolio issue is still not solved.
Other possibilities/suggestions, please, because I'm stuck and getting tired of this.

Renaming/sorting of portfolios/collections - PSU still hangs
Hert reported that renaming of portfolios/collections is fixed in the latest build. (tested by other users in the beta).
With the new build, at my place, PSU still hangs when I rename a collection or when I manually sort collections.
Can some other users also perform a test and see if it hangs ...

Re: New Build please; resolve bugs
That was quick 8) , thanks for the new build, which finally solves the "Green Search bar issue".
Unfortunately, PSU still hangs when renaming a collection  and the Alt-click bug is also not solved yet.
Especially the crashing of PSU when renaming a collection is very annoying.

New Build please; resolve bugs
I would be very happy if a new Build was released SOON that at least solves these bugs:
- PSU hangs when renaming collection
- Green search bar issue
- Alt-click bug (selecting catalog label with NOT operator).
For professional/intensive (and I guess any) use, these bugs are very, very annoying.

Re: A plea for the return of the IDimager V5 search bar feature
Hi Vlad,
Thanks for your detailed explanation, which clears up some things for me.
I added my votes to some of your Mantis-tickets.
Would be great if one day an 'advanced search' option (or maybe it's 'easy search''?) with drop down menus was added (indeed, it doesn't have to replace the current ...

Re: dynamic search "and NOT"?
Use Alt+spacebar to select an item for dynamic search, then it will be in Exclude mode (NOT).
Once selected, you can also choose to exclude an item from dynamic search. Use mouseclick right on the item, and then select 'Exclude from search'.
Your item will turn red to show that it's been excluded.

Re: cataloging with PSU is a breeze!
Well, actually I have been particularly bad. For my workflow migrating PSU really has been (and still is) quite a challenge. PSU lack several key features that I regularly use and have been quite accustomed to in IDI. Finding workarounds and alternatives continues to be a challenge. So, I have ...

"I think most users tend to complain/critique than to praise a product."
It would not be very informative to have a forum with just compliments on a product.
I wouldn't trust such a forum.
I do think there are a lot of implicit and explicit compliments in a lot of posts here, throughout the ...
