Subfolders, huh? Okay, I might be able to make that work. I'll have to think about it.
I suppose that I could always drag the folder containing the modified versions into the folder with the originals, thus making it a subfolder, run the version detection, and drag the folder with the modified ...

Version detection in PSU V2
Is there any way to get version detection to look in a different folder with PSU V2? I keep the original in a separate folder from my modified versions.

Re: DNG Develop Tool - Help Me Decide?
The fact that the "raw" file is a DNG does not remove the need for the converter application to "support" the specific camera which involves having a camera-specific colour profile.
That depends on the converter application. A few — Apple Aperture and LightZone among them, and I think SilkyPix ...

Re: DNG Develop Tool - Help Me Decide?
I'm biased, but I generally use LightZone. It's now free, open-source software, and it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. http://lightzoneproject.org/

Workflow on mobile photos edited on-device?
A question about how best to deal with the edited copies of photos on the device.
Background: for my DSLR photos, I rename them as I import them. When I edit one on my computer, I save the edited photo with the same filename in a separate folder, then add that into a version set and propagate the ...

Re: Event Variable in Subfolder Definition
I'm having the same result (on V1). I'm using %EventName in the destination folder name. Most of my imported files end up in the desired folder name, but a few — typically the first one — end up in a folder with "%EventName" instead of the actual event name. In one case it looked like the first ...

Re: Use Modified date in file name
Okay, that did what I asked. Thanks, Hert.
Alas, I'm still in a pickle. The imported file now has the folder and filename I wanted, but it no longer has any date/time information that I can use to set the correct EXIF times. The imported copy has a modified date of the time that it was imported.
I ...

Re: Use Modified date in file name
Thanks, Hert. I'll give that a try, but it'll be a day or so before I get the chance. I'll let you know how it goes.
FYI: this is because of a stupid bug in the libcamera.so file in my inexpensive Android phone. It puts EXIF dates of December 8, 2002 into every photo. Consequently, I have to rely ...

Use Modified date in file name
I need to put the "file modified" date into the file name during an import. It seems I can either use the EXIF dates, which are garbage on the photos I'm having trouble with, or the system date/time when I'm doing the import. I've tried "%ImageFileStamp{dateformat=yymmdd}" but alas, that apparently ...
