Re: Why Versions without VDW etc.
The new version of iMatch has been on the horizon a long time. I'm a licensed v3 owner. But found it way way weaker than idi. When v5 comes out I will look at it. But I'm now kind of gun shy about trusting any more small development projects. I put a LOT of time into idi, and sooner or later that ...

Re: Why Versions without VDW etc.
I've already started to migrate everything to LR. Nowhere near the power of my love IDI (heck on my last system refresh, I stayed on PC because IDI didn't exist on MAC), but PSU just isn't cutting in too many ways for me. I'll have to change workflows a bit and all. but I can't really wait for PSU ...

Small thumbs in Lighttable
OK, I've selected 4 images (cr2) files. I select Light table. All I get is tiny little images. I don't see how to make the thumbnails full size. I've seen it on individuall images, but not in the LT.
Who thought it would ever be a good idea to have these tiny images display anyway?? And is there a ...

Re: file-manager
I'm going to take a look at DigitalPro 6 I looked at it years ago, but loved IDI a lot more. Now it's time to look at it again.
But before I do, I really intend to give PSU a more intensive look.

Re: file-manager
I know the argument of using what is working and not worrying about future use. ie "if it ain't broke...."
The problem is the future. Will IDI work with Win8, Win9? I don't want to continue to put time and effort into a software that is no supported by the vendor. If I have a problem with idi, the ...

Re: file-manager
Craig, I agree with you completely!!
I was just remarking on my reason for the product. But I am very disappointed by the news of IDI's death and the replacement for it. IDI was THE DAM product, nothing was close. Now they are all equally lacking. I'm thinking I almost might as well just use LR ...

Re: file-manager
Craig, I'm afraid I have to agree with you. As far as PSU stands now, the pro features that Pro's used and loved seem to be weakened or missing.
I'm still brand new to PSU, but I can't find dual monitor support, workspace customization, and many other things. It now taks 4 steps to do what it took ...

Re: Portfolios
You know, I like a lot some of what I see in PSU. If they had added those features to IDI, it would have rocked.
But I simply can not believe they took the most powerful DAM product out there and killed half the stuff that made it unique. I'm not happy at all about this.
Have I not found support ...

Re: Framing
I'll check them out. Is there a way to specify location via Variable? Sometimes I want the output to be in a folder right under the selected images, other times I want it to over write them. Are those still options?

Framing
I had several batch files that would frame and put my logo on jpg images. I can see in the batch how to add a frame, but how do I add a logo and text?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Portfolios
OK, so maybe I can use portfolios as I was using Virtual Collections. But am I missing something about workflow with them?
I have TOC and Pending Portfolios imported from IDI.
I marked them as favorites
I'm in a folder and want to add an image to the TOC portfolio. It seems I can't just drag and ...

Re: file-manager
If we create a folder in a Filemanager, will PSU automatically pick it up or pick up files we've moved to it? Is there anything like 'Watched Folders'?
