Have you tried the Preferences|Colour management settings ?

If you want to trigger external programs/Apps/routines I just use the External applications bar (top right) to run dos batch files only requirement is to have at least one image selected to pass to the external routine. You setup the program from the normal Preferences Menu|Other settings.

Just checked mine under Win11 and only square images appear for me.

I must admit I don't have this problem but I don't use these sorts of descriptions. Rather I tend to have a hierarchal structure. I guess another route might be to Synonyms and Abbreviations fields or maybe Label Sets but I've not used them myself to date so not quite sure what can be achieved with ...

Might depend on just how many DB upgrades you missed as I would imagine they might need to be applied in order (??) the most recent ones did take a while and seemed to have two stages at one point.

I think the Document Title is a separate field from File name. Some devices do load the original file name into that field when its created so that you can track the source of a file even if the filename is subsequently changed.

If the Folders are Red then they are offline for some reason, maybe on another machine and the network is down, maybe you have manually turned them off with Travel Mode top left menu item ?

Do you mean Details|Descriptions|Document Title ?
You can add it to the Info panel as well of course, there are a couple of other fields with TITLE in the name as well.

Further to this there seems to be oddities going on, not sure of cause but the after reading the metadata from a small sample of images back into the database all the fields seem to have been corrected, odd ..... but it seems happy now.

Oh yes and its happening on Windows, count shown but no images appear running on Win11 or Win10 with version 7434. Latitude, Longtitude, ISO speed, Metering mode (one very odd entry does work!), Colour space, Colour mode, Orientation but only the Normal entry other show images, Flash info varies ...

Nope I get the images matching the entry, as would be expected!

Have you looked on the bottom line, under Favourites ? All those options have moved to the bottom.

How fast is the external drive ? If your writing back the metadata to the images then it might well be very slow as its first had to read the image then update and write it back to the image as well as store it locally in the database.
