I presume this isn't normal behaviour?

Using Photo Supreme is definitely getting less supreme! When I start the program (v4.0.1.1125) it will have forgotten all the numbers of images in the Collections & Portfolios (the grey boxes are unpopulated). PSU then takes about 10 minutes to do whatever it has to do (using around 20% CPU all this...

Re: v4.0.1.1032 Not PSU's finest hour

Thanks. Maybe I was being harsh. I'd done a database compact before the v4 upgrade. Photos are on a NAS, database locally, but I always make sure that it is accesible before doing anything (as I have another program that sometimes struggles to pick up the network link if it isn't "live"). A restart ...

v4.0.1.1032 Not PSU's finest hour

This build spends most of its time "not responding", usually ending with a "close program" dialog after a few minutes!

Can we have a version that works, please? :?

v4 has broken my slideshows!

Something has changed. In v3 I could push the slideshow onto another screen (a large TV connected to the computer) using a keyboard shortcut from a screen utility that I use & the slideshow window would automatically adjust its aspect ratio to fill the TV screen. In v4 this doesn't happen I get ever...

Uploading to Flickr - not going as planned

Having found that Photo Supreme doesn't let you drag & drop like IDimager did, I finally got round to setting up the Flickr upload in "Share". Initial tests seemed to be OK but something definitely went awry uploading a batch of 160 photos to a Flickr album. The upload never seemed to complete - it ...

Re: Advice on moving images to a NAS

Rick, I would backup/copy all images to the NAS propably with a backup program that verifies the copy) Then within PSU click on the folder icon to get into the folder view. Once there, right click on the "drive old path" and then click "map to correct the physical folder" This is it. Of course you ...

Thanks - It reminded me that I had a copy of V5 lurking in the system. :D

Re: Advice on moving images to a NAS

Thanks.

That sounds as though it should be fairly straightforward

Any recommendations on a backup/copying program?

Advice on moving images to a NAS

I'm using the standalone version of PS (v3.3.0.2582) on Windows 10 Pro.I have recently got a NAS (6TB of storage should keep me going for a while) & upgraded the network to Gigabit so things should move quicker. I wanted to move all my images to the NAS (& possibly the catalog - if not it will at le...

Details only being addded to 1 image on import

I'm finding that details (title - using %EventName, Copyright, etc.) are only being added to the first imported image when doing an import.

At least I think that is what is happening as the Details pane doesn't always update unless it is closed & re-opened (Switch it off and back on again! ).

Re: Problem with custom folders on import

The custom folders now work in the import profile as intended by calling up the saved file. Even if opening it up in the dialog breaks it by losing the % in front of EventName. I'm guessing that is a bug in the software behind the dialog box.

For my next problem... I'll start a new topic. :?

Re: Problem with custom folders on import

Thanks, that may help. If the download reads the saved file directly & properly it should work. If I open the saved file* in Notebook it has the % in front of EventName but if I open it in the "Custom defined..." dialog the % is absent. *saved file content is %yyyy\%mm %mmmm\%yyyy-%mm-%dd %EventName...

Problem with custom folders on import

I'm having problems getting a custom folder format in the import settings to stick. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I'm setting up the folder to be, for example, "2016-10-09 Sunday Walk" where "Sunday walk is the Event Name. After the "%dd" for day I am adding a text part of " "(space) ...

Re: PS Importing Question

There's nothing wrong with your script. The compile button compiles a generic script but doesn't know about context variables. imageItem is not a standard pascal object. It is added to the scripted as a pre-existing object and only exists in rename rules...something the scripter doesn't know about ...

Re: PS Importing Question

Can anyone help with the scripting - what is possible & not (& different from IDI)? If I try to manually add a bit of script to the Custom Folder settings in PS (It is an option so assume some scripting will work) the dialog opens with a sample result := 'hello world'; If I click the Compile button ...
